Pre-class Prep - Basic swimming etiquettes

1. HYGIENE

- Always take a shower before getting in the swimming pool to ensure the pool stays clean

- When taking a shower, please rinse your hair before putting on the cap

- After swimming, have a good shower and also rinse out your ears with clean water

2. BEHAVIOR AROUND THE POOL

- When in and around the swimming pool, always listen to the swimming coach and lifeguards for safety reasons

- Avoid shouting when in the pool; It ensures that when an emergency arises, you are heard by the coaches and lifeguards.

3. DISCIPLINE

- Please arrive at least 10 minutes in advance to your batch's stipulated time for your first class. Being the first class, introductions, instructions and general guidelines will be shared with learners

- On all the other days, ensure you enter and leave the swimming pool at your batch’s stipulated time. Please be ready in your swim gear at least 5 minutes before class, as the changing rooms could get busy

- Classes will not be interrupted due to public holidays/weather conditions. Any class cancellations will be informed beforehand by the coach.

- No class extensions will be provided

4. THINGS TO BRING

- Water bottle

- Towel

- Soap

- For a comfortable swimming experience, wear a well-fitted polyester swimming costume. Avoid wearing cotton, loose-fitted swimsuits that go beyond your elbows and knees

- Buy goggles that have gaskets/eye cups that fit comfortably around the eye. Avoid buying goggles with bigger lens since they are prone to water leaks or could come off while swimming
